Think you can’t afford to go travelling for a six months or a year – think again. Aside from a number of ways of making travel cheap – working, volunteering, house-sitting etc, there are lots of places that are cheaper to travel in for starters – and even better many of them are interconnected so you don’t even have to take a flight to visit a number of countries all on a budget.
Top of the list is probably Asia, followed closely by Central and South America, Eastern Europe, and Africa. So there are plenty of options for anyone.
Of course peoples experience will vary and I’m not going to definitively say that these are the cheapest countries to visit or try to rank them in order of cheapness – but they are definitely on the right end of the scale if you want your $ to go further!
